Call
For the continued safety of our staff and other patients, we would request that you still phone us before attending, as we are booking all appointments in advance, even if it is for just a spectacle adjustment or repair. This helps us to better manage the spacing out of our patients throughout the day. We can sometimes also arrange a remote consultation by video or phone call for those who may be vulnerable or still wishing to shield.

We are still making sure our practice as safe as possible, including social distancing, cleaning and hygiene regimes, and continuing with all the appropriate PPE for our staff. In keeping with guidance from the College of Optometrists, General Optical Council and Association of Optometrists, patients will be asked to continue to wear a face covering throughout their visit.

This is in order to protect our staff, those who are more vulnerable, or those who have yet to be vaccinated. Please let us know in advance if you feel unable to wear one. We are currently working through our reminders although we are a little behind due to extra time constraints imposed on us in the current circumstances.

McCracken Opticians are delighted to offer their patients a wide range of enhanced services, many of which are unavailable from other opticians.
These services are aimed at further improving the quality of eye care that we deliver to our patients.
In instances where the optometrist feels that the patient would benefit from an enhanced service the patient will be advised accordingly.
Whilst we recommend that the patient complies if such advice is given, there is no obligation for them to do so.
If you feel that you might benefit from one of the following services, please ask one of our optometrists who will be happy to advise you.
