Services
Our professional staff care passionately about the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.
We offer a range of examination options, that can be tailored to suit your needs and concerns as well as providing additional specialist services and advice, in respect of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and many others.
Every eye examination should be more than a quick test of your sight to see if you need glasses.
It should be a thorough assessment and investigation of both your vision and your ocular health.
It is only with regular, thorough eye examinations, using the latest technology that we can be confident our eyes are healthy.
Our practice has continually invested in cutting edge equipment to ensure that we are always able to offer our patients the most advanced eye examination possible.
Unlike other opticians, our experienced Optometrists carry out all the investigations in our well equipped consulting room, with plenty of time to interpret all the results and discuss them with you fully.
We believe that it is not only our duty but also your right, to be offered the best available care and service, not just the cheapest.
All those entitled to an NHS sight test, will be upgraded free of charge to our Standard Eye Health Examination, as we feel this is the minimum standard of clinical care that should be offered.
We would strongly encourage those patients aged over 40 with a family history of eye disease and all those aged over 60 to book an Advanced Eye Health Examination.
You receive Income Support, Income Based Jobseekers Allowance, Income Related Employment and Support Allowance or Pension Credit Guarantee Credit.
Our Standard Eye Health Examination, while containing many procedures you will be familiar with from previous sight tests, guarantees a more advanced and thorough investigation of your eye health and visual needs.
We allow 40 minutes for a Standard Eye Health Examination, which not only allows us to use more sophisticated and advanced equipment but also to discuss the results and our advice with you fully.
An internal and external examination of your eyes to look for signs of any ocular disease or general health condition.
Our Advanced Eye Health Examination includes a 3D-OCT Retinal Scan which represents the most significant step forward to date in primary eye care.
This new type of examination, similar to an ultrasound or MRI scan, enables us to see beneath the surface of the back of your eye so that we can detect the earliest possible signs of sight threatening diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
We recommend that all adults have an initial Advanced Eye Health Examination but the frequency of future examinations will depend on many factors and your Optometrist can advise you what is best in your situation after your first examination.
