Services
Eye Examination
Our comprehensive eye examinations check vision and eye health using advanced diagnostic equipment. The process includes refraction assessment, intraocular pressure measurement, and retinal imaging. Patients receive detailed explanations of results and tailored recommendations for corrective solutions.
Optomap Imaging
Optomap ultra-widefield retinal imaging captures 80% of the retina in one scan, detecting early signs of conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration. This non-invasive test provides immediate digital results for accurate diagnosis and monitoring of eye health.
Dry Eye Clinic
Specialist dry eye assessments identify causes of ocular discomfort through tear film analysis and eyelid examination. Bespoke treatment plans may include prescription drops, lid hygiene routines, or environmental adjustments to improve long-term eye comfort and health.
Myopia Control
For children with progressing short-sightedness, we offer evidence-based solutions including multifocal contact lenses and progressive spectacle lenses. These treatments aim to slow eye elongation and reduce future risks of retinal complications and glaucoma.
Colourimetry
Colourimetry assessments identify precision-tinted lenses that alleviate visual stress symptoms like text distortion and eye strain. Using a colorimeter device, we determine optimal filter shades to improve reading comfort and cognitive processing during visual tasks.

They would not put new lenses in a pair of glasses of mine they said the lenses had been changed twice before. The lenses in my glasses had never been changed before seems to me that they employ staff who are lie to customers.

I've have been going to various opticians for the past 30 years and I have to say this is the best service I have received. Where as other chain opticians throw any glasses at you to get you out of the store asap, these actually take time to find ones which suit you and your prescription the best. I will be going there again.

I have used Birds opticians several times and always successfully. Twice they have replaced damaged lenses in frames I already owned and this has worked very well. I have also purchased prescription sunglasses. The staff are pleasant and professional. Excellent information provision and sympathetic advice. Highly recommended.
