The Practice operates as a reliable family optometry, and also takes on any request for contact lenses, with a specialised interest in management of Keratoconus or other indications for contact lenses. It is also an internationally recognised referral centre for Scleral Lenses. Ken Pullum FC Optom DipCLP is a Contact Lens Practitioner with a specialist interest in clinical applications including Keratoconus, post corneal transplant and in particular Scleral Lens practice.

Ken divides his time between the UK hospital eye service and his Hertford office, which has been established for over 30 years. His many publications include papers on Scleral Lenses and Keratoconus in the Cornea, the CLAO journal, the BJO, Eye, the BCLA and Optometry journals and chapters in Contact Lens text books in the UK and overseas. Shima Shah BSc (Hons) MCOptom Dip Tp (IP) joined Ken at the Practice in 2009.

She is an Optometrist and Contact Lens Practitioner with a special interest in paediatric optometry, Shima is involved at a number of hospital eye clinics around the London area with 8 years experience.

Regular eye examinations are an important part of you healthcare.
It is suggested to have one every 2 years, unless otherwise advised, and it is recommended for children to have an examination once a year.
Eye tests not only check your level of sight, but are important to identify any conditions at an early stage.
There is a range of contact lenses available: Rigid Gas Permable Corneal Lenses (RGPC), hydrogel (soft) lenses, bifocal or lenses for astigmatism.
The correct option for you will be explained.
From the A1(M) take the Hatfield exit (junction 3) and follow the A414 to Hertford.
Once at the end of Gasgoyne Way, take the 1st exit onto Fore Street, then right onto South Street.
Go over the mini roundabout onto Railway street and we're on the Left hand side.
From the A10 take the Hertford turnoff and the 3rd exit onto the A414.
Go over the first roundabout at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Fore street, turn right onto South Street, over the mini roundabout onto Railway street and we're on the left.
