At the Eyeworks we have always embraced and invested in the latest digital technology. This allows our clinicians the very best equipment for use as diagnostic tools for early detection of problems. Alternatively, it can give a patient complete peace that their eyes are totally healthy and no early signs of any conditions are present.

Consistently excellent service at The Eyeworks Bromborough from the opticians, the manager and the receptionists. I thoroughly recommend them. First time I've been to The Eyeworks and found the staff very friendly and professional.

Brought up in Chester, Dylan studied Optometry at City University in London.
After gaining his degree, he completed the pre-registration year in practice at Price Wynne Opticians on the Wirral.
He continued to work there and during that time gathered ideas as to how he wished for an optometric practice to run and progress.
He has been qualified in Diabetic Screening since the late 90's and attained a City and Guilds in Diabetic Screening in 2012.
Other specialized areas include Cataract assessment and referral, Glaucoma referral refinement, Low vision assessment and Wirral's Red Eye scheme including the Flashes and Floaters investigation and eye examinations for people with learning difficulties.
We rely on our sight in all aspects of daily life and therefore an eye examination is essential to monitor eye health and maintain the best vision possible.
We strive to provide the most thorough eye examinations using the latest technology and equipment so you, the patient, have full confidence in our findings and recommended management.
Our eye examinations usually last about 40 minutes but we will advise you if you require any extra specific tests and how long these may take.
We have a general routine we perform for every patient, but as we like to treat every patient as an individual, the optometrists will tailor the examination similarly, which guarantees you a thorough examination executed smoothly, keeping you as relaxed as possible.
Good vision is essential in childhood development and regular eye examinations are the key to good vision.
Research has shown that one in five school children have an undetected eye problem.
As 80% of a child's learning occurs visually, many children cannot see well enough to reach their full potential or enjoy everyday childhood activities as much as they could.
A child may not realise if their vision is not clear - they assume the way they see is normal.
Therefore regular eye examinations are advised for all children under the age of 16 at least once a year.
Ocular Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages.
Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of the eye.
This particular 3D OCT unit captures a digital photograph of the surface of the eye at the same time and this can be cross referenced across any areas of concern.
The major benefit of this state of the art machine is that it allows your optometrist to see both the back of your eye, and a three dimensional image to look beneath the surface of the regular retinal image.
