Dr Culhane graduated as an optometrist from DIT Dublin (1994) and was awarded both the Harte Barry and Johnson and Johnson Vision Prize awards. She obtained a PhD from the Department of Optometry, Bradford (2000). Helena has practiced in various optometry setting in West Yorkshire since 1995 and in 2021 has taken over from Mr Jeremy Topliss as the sole owner of Mackereths Opticians Ltd ensuring it continues as a truly independent local practice.Mr Gibson qualified in 1979 from Bradford University and has a special interest in contact lenses. Andrew originally worked with Alan Mackereth up to Alan's retirement and subsequently became a director of Whitakers Opticians for the next 14 years. With frame display rooms on the ground floor for gentlemen and children, and a large room upstairs for ladies frames, we can offer a huge selection of frames to choose from.
