Monthly disposable lenses; start from 10 for a month's supply. If you plan on wearing them everyday, these lenses can work out the most cost effective. You can wear them everyday, removing them at night to clean and store, for up to one month. Multifocal/Varifocal lenses; lenses designed to cope with the need for age-related vision changes, which leads to the need for different prescriptions for different things.

read more › The vast majority of varifocals work by setting optic power & astigmatism on interest points on the surface of a lens, with the setting through an algorithm known as B-splines. However, the lens surface is a continuous topography and points in between are solved through interpolation, which results in a big loss of control over the astigmatism and power in a very large area of the lens. Advances in lens design software and precision freeform equipment has provided us with new and exciting opportunities, enabling us to offer a wide range of high performance, state-of-the art-lenses.

This lens type has one prescription that covers the whole lens. These lenses are included in the price of all of our frames. An Anti Reflective coating is added to lenses to reduce glare caused by light hitting the back of the lenses. This modern invention improves vision and makes your eyeglasses more visually attractive. AR coatings virtually eliminate all reflections from the front and back surfaces of your lenses.

One area of the lens will have one prescription (usually distance) and a segment in the lower half will have the other (usually near vision). Rather than having two pairs of single-vision glasses, bifocal lenses can be a more convenient solution as they combine all your vision needs into one pair of glasses. For example, if you work in an office you may want to have intermediate vision in the top of the lens for meetings or presentations, and near vision in the segment for looking at your computer screen.

read more › Varifocals lenses are the best solution when more than one prescription is needed to correct your vision. As they combine two prescriptions in one lens, you do not have to carry two different pairs of glasses. The more advanced a lens the less soft focus it will have, meaning it better replicates natural vision. Varifocal lenses work by changing power from the top to the bottom of the lens. Moving your eyes up and down the lens will give you clear vision at all the distances you need. This means if you are using a cash machine you would be able to view the keys, screen, your card and then continue to walk down the street.

The varifocal is applied to the lens in such a way that it gives the wearer a much wider field for distance and intermediate, moving the reading area a little further down the lens. This means when playing golf, for example, when bending over to take a swing your reading area will not interfere but is still substantial enough to record your all-important scores! These are both progressive lenses designed for office type environments.

More than 40% of people over 50 years of age have some degree of hearing loss, rising to 70% of those over 70. Amazing developments in both hearing performance and physical size means there are better, discreet and more affordable solutions to help you with your hearing loss. The incredible gift of sound allows us to communicate with colleagues, friends, and family.

A full hearing test is for those who are experiencing notable hearing difficulties (or have been told by a loved one they are), and/or wear hearing aids already and want further improvement. Your Audiologist will discuss your hearing history to understand what has influenced your hearing and to get more information about your personal needs.

read more › The natural wax our ears produce forms a defensive layer in the ear canal, protecting against dust, dirt, and bacteria. The body produces this wax of its own accord, but too much can muffle your hearing. Our Audiologist uses a gentle microsuction technique developed by ear, nose, and throat specialists (ENTs) to remove wax and debris. Our wax removal procedure is quick, easy, and safe. Typically, both ears can be treated within 30 minutes. Occasionally, some people may need a second appointment, which will be done with no extra charge.
