Between them the staff have many years' experience, most having been here over 20 years! Ian trained at UMIST, now part of Manchester University, and went on to work in North Wales combining mainly private practice with sessions at the eye department of St Asaph hospital. He moved to Sheffield in 1983 working in various practices as a locum optician until opening his first practice in 1985 (see above).
He lives in Sheffield with his wife and two (now adult) children. He is a member of Rotherham Local Optical Committee and has been involved in organising Continuing Education and Training for other local opticians through the lecture programme of the Sheffield Association of Optometrists.
